Team Offsites

Sometimes a team needs to step out of the day-to-day in order to realign, reconnect, and reset.

I design and facilitate customized offsites that help leadership teams pause, reflect, and refocus. This could be for a yearly check-in, a reset after a period of change, or a strategic kickoff for the year ahead. These offsites are not packed with slides and overstuffed agendas. They are intentionally designed to create space for honest dialogue, shared learning, and deeper connection.

Each offsite begins with a discovery process to understand where the team is now and what it most needs. We might explore questions like:

  • What’s our shared purpose—and are we aligned around it?

  • What’s working, what’s stuck, and what’s ready to evolve?

  • How do we want to lead together, and what kind of culture do we want to create?

Team offsites might focus on building trust, improving communication, clarifying decision-making, repairing relationships, improving collaboration, navigating conflict, or shaping a shared leadership vision. The offsites are designed as an experience that include experiential exercises, deep dialogue, real-time feedback, and space for both strategic thinking and interpersonal growth.

What to Expect

  • Asking truthful questions

  • Listening, even when it’s hard

  • Understanding each leader’s style and how your differences can be positively leveraged

  • Co-creating new ideas

  • Developing closer relationships

  • Addressing trust issues and creating understanding of what will develop or heal trust wobbles

  • Connecting and reconnecting around values, vision, mission, and strategy

  • Cross-pollinating ideas, and having space for everyone to be heard

  • Creating alignment, buy-in, and understanding

  • Making decisions about what to let go of and what to refresh or begin

  • Kicking off a new direction

  • Working though challenging creative problem

  • Feeling energized and hopeful about the future

  • Experiencing deep learning

  • Reducing stress

An offsite can shift the trajectory of a team. It can restore energy, renew commitment, reconnect people to what matters most, and foster teaming skills that help the team improve collaboration and collective thinking.
